898,772. Sliding clasp fasteners. LIGHTNING FASTENERS LTd. Nov. 30, 1960, No. 41121/60. Class 44. In a sliding clasp fastener in which the coupling members are formed from a continuous filament, an end stop 5 is constituted by a staple one part of which, preferably one of the legs, lies in a gap between two coupling members so that it does not increase the overall width of the fastener and the end stop is firmly secured to the coupling members. As shown the end stop is formed from strip material into a web 51 and two pointed legs 52, 52 one of which passes through a covering strip 4 and a support tape 1 and the other of which is located between adjacent coupling members, the ends of the legs being bent towards one another.
