Abstract

649,371. Band clips. MINISTER OF SUPPLY. Oct. 14, 1948, Nos. 26730/48 and 4300/49. [Class 44] A band clip comprises a hollow saddle or abutment member 1, a screw 5 passing through one end of the member 1, and a strip engaging member 6 carried by the screw and having opposed edges 7 which are serrated or otherwise adapted to engage and deform the band 8. Member 6 is of such dimensions that its edges 7 are forced into the strip 8 when drawn up into the saddle by the screw 5. The lower edges of the sides 11 of the saddle may be opened out to allow the ends of strip 8 to be threaded through slots in the top of the saddle.
