Abstract

1,014,768. Connecting devices. A MONNIER. Dec. 4, 1962 [Dec. 4, 1961], No. 45880/62. Heading E2B. A connecting device comprises a strip 1 of plastics material formed with toothed portions 2, 3 and terminating at one end in an abutment 6, and a holed member 10. To assemble the device, the smooth part of the strip 1 is pulled through the holed member and placed around a member 23 not shown, to be supported. The toothed edges are then engaged with one another, the free end of the strip then being pulled to the left (as in Fig. 13) until the abutment 6 engages the edges of the holed member. In a modification, (see Fig. 16), the device is formed by two separate strips 29, 35 held together by a sliding member 30; one of the strips may be formed with a slideway limited by stops 28. The toothed portions of the strips say of square, triangular or semi-circular cross-section.
