631,381. Valves for gas burners. RIBOT, C. V. Nov. 15, 1946, No. 33905. [Class 135] An automatic cut-off valve for gas burners operable to close the gas supply on removal of a vessel or the like seated on the burner comprises a single vertically-guided member 8 resting on a valve-member 6, both members being urged into the uppermost position in which the member 8 projects above the top 9 of the burner 1 by a V-shaped spring 7 secured at one end to the valve-member 6 and at the other end anchored in the gas inlet pipe 3. The member 8 is formed as a rod and is guided in the burner top 9 and in a screw-threaded member 5 forming the valve seat. The burner flame at the openings 1a is re-lighted from a narrow byepass tube 13.
