Abstract

602,282. Gas valves. PEET, A. Oct. 12, 1945, No. 26795. [Class 135] The spring-loaded plug 8, Fig. 1, of a valve controlling the flow of gas to a burner, lit by a pilot flame, is adjusted to one of three positions by a lever 21, urged against an arcuate surface on the valve body by a spring 23, Fig. 3, and mounted on an arm 19 secured to the plug. The arcuate surface is formed with end stops 17, 18, against which the lever is adjusted to respectively close or open the valve, and an intermediate step 16, against which the lever is adjusted to admit gas to the pilot burner.
