[Class 108 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] In an intermediate bearing support for the propeller shaft of a motor vehicle, a hanger 2 is flexibly supported from a transverse member 16 of the frame through two rubber bushes 8 compressed into housings 3. Each housing is bored at 5 and counterbored near its ends with tapered grooves 6 into which the bush 8 fits: The internal and external peripheries of the bushes 8 are reinforced with layers 9, 10 of wire fabric or the like vulcanized to the rubber. A pin 12 is secured in each bush by a lock-nut 13 and washer 14 and is attached to the transverse member 16.
