Abstract

773,266. Motor cycles. ZUNDAPP-WERKE GES. July 7, 1955 [July 10, 1954], No. 19676/55. Classes 79(2) and 79(3). In a motor cycle having the engine unit 1 held at its output end in a rubber-bushed mounting in the frame 4 the rubber bush 2 surrounds the output shaft of the unit and has an extension 2<SP>1</SP> which overlaps and seals one end of a swinging arm 10 carrying the driving wheel (not shown) and surrounding a propeller shaft 9. As shown, the engine unit 1 is also mounted on the frame 4 by a rubber ring 3 and the rubber bush 2 is conical, the bush 2 being arranged in a similar shaped eye in a cross member 5. The shaft 9 is connected by a universal joint 8 to the output shaft of the unit 1, and the member 10 is one of the pair of wheel suspension arms adapted to pivot in the directions of the arrows about the transverse axis of the universal joint 8.
