Abstract

770,667. Tractors. URUS WERKE GES. May 12, 1954, No. 13942/54. Classes 79(1), 79(2), 79(3), 79(4) and 79(5). In a tractor having all wheels driven and steered longitudinal members 3, 4 supporting four wheels 5, 6 of equal size and containing wheel driving elements in their oil-tight interiors are pivotally mounted substantially at the mid-length of the tractor. As shown the output shafts 7 of the tractor engine 1 carry sprockets 8 chain-connected to shafts 10 driving the wheels 5, 6 through cardan joints, the connections being enclosed in the members 3, 4 which are pivoted in brackets 2. The members 3, 4 are interconnected by a link 13 which may serve as tool-coupling means and is pivotally connected by a rubber hinge to a bracket 12 depending from the engine. Part of the engine casing 18 may be pivoted to provide a seat 17 additional to the one shown at 16. The steering column 21 carries an arm 22 connected by rods 23 to steering wheel arms 24.
