Abstract

932,415. Frames. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR A.G. May 17, 1962 [May 17, 1961], No. 19055/62. Class 79(4). A chassis frame for a rear engined motor vehicle comprises longitudinal side members 1 and 2 upwardly cranked atabout their midlength and transverse members 4 and 10, a box girder 7 extending forwardly from the member 4 and forming a support for the steering apparatus and control pedals. Brackets 5 and 6 and 11 and 12 are provided for the front and rear wheel suspension arms respectively and brackets 8 and 9, and 15 and 16 for the front and rear springs, respectively. The engine is mounted upon the rearward extensions 13 and 14 of the frame members 1 and 2 and upon a support pad 17.
