978,608. Vehicle suspensions. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. July 18, 1963 [July 24, 1962], No. 28547/63. Heading B7D. A motor vehicle suspension comprises a pair of links 11, 12 pivoted to the vehicle 13 and carrying a wheel supporting arm 10, a coil spring 16 abutting the vehicle 13 at its upper end and being pivotally connected at its lower end at 19 to a member 14 rigid with the link 11, the pivot point 19 being above the normal 21 from the pivot point 22 of the link 11 to the spring axis. The coil spring may be replaced by a pneumatic spring, or a vibration damper 33 may be located within the spring, Fig. 3.
