Abstract
857,049. Mounting engines. ATELIERS DE LA MOTOBECANE. Oct. 3, 1958 [Oct. 3, 1957], No. 31664/58. Class 79(3). A motor having an expansible pulley having one or two axially movable flanges is pivoted at its upper end to the frame of an autocycle and has a spring connection at its lower end to the frame. As shown, a motor 5, Fig. 1, is pivoted to the frame 1 at 6, the pivot having spacing members 29 and 30, Fig. 4, and resilient bushes 28 permitting a slight amount of angular displacement of the motor. A pair of lugs 8, attached to the motor by its housing bolts 9, carry upon lugs 11 the silencer 10. A pair of brackets 13 mounted upon one lug 8 carries a rod 14 serving as a mounting, through the intermediary of a resilient bush 15 and sleeve 16, for one end of a pair of spring members 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, the other end of which is clamped by bolts 22 to a bracket 23 attached to the pedal housing of the frame. A stop member 25, 26 limits forward movement of the motor. The full amplitude of movement of the lower end of the motor is indicated by the broken lines in Fig. 5.
