628,909. Two-stroke engines. ZELEZNY, A. June 11, 1947, No. 15435. Convention date, June 12, 1946. [Class 7 (ii) and 7 (vi)] In a two-stroke engine operating with crankcase compression, a valve 7 controlling the passage of charge to the crank-case is-operated by the cam 25 which drives the fuel-injection pump 23. As shown the inlet passage 5 leads to two cylinder ports 10, 11, opened by the skirt of the piston, and the cam-table is arranged so that the valve 7 is held closely by a spring, while the piston moves down below the port 11 to compress the charge, until it opens the transfer passage.
