Abstract

632,845. Two-stroke engines. CHAVE, F. Nov. 13, 1945, No. 30393. [Class 7 (ii)] In a two stroke engine the charge is compressed between the underside of the piston 18 and a fixed member 12 and transferred to the combustion chamber through a passage 3, piston rings being located in the grooves shown in the piston and the member 12. Deflectors 15, 19 are provided. The member 12 is clamped between the cylinder and the crank case by a flange 11 having a slot 16 to accommodate the piston gudgeon pin 9 and its boss.
