604,997. Cylinders. WESLAKE, H. Dec. 11, 1945, No. 33492. Addition to 565,394. [Class 7 (ii)] A combustion chamber 10, having a side wall 16 extending from the cylinder head around the exhaust and inlet valves 13, 14, with a projection 12 between the valves, as described in the parent Specification, is combined with a recess 15 in the piston crown ; the recess is eccentric to the cylinder and the inlet passage is arranged so that the incoming charge swirls, as indicated by the arrows along the wall 16 and past the sparking plug socket 17.
