590,851. Two-stroke engine ports. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON. April 23, 1945, No. 10133. Convention date, April 24, 1944. [Class 7 (ii)] A two-stroke internal-combustion engine which has at least some of its inlet ports 9 directed towards the cylinder liner 1 opposite the exhaust ports 6, has its inlet ports supplied through an annular space 11, bounded by the liner 1 and the wall 10, of radial width d, equal to the perpendicular distance e between the inclined walls of the ports 9, and of an axial length equal to approximately one third of the piston stroke.
