621,943. Fastening clamps. BLACKBURN AIRCRAFT, Ltd., and HOLEY, N. March 7, 1947, No. 6508. [Class 44] A fastening for securing a panel 1 comprises a spring loaded latching member 6 connected through a pin and slot connection with a rotatable actuating rod 8 for moving the latching member against its spring to the latching position, the rod having a screw-threaded part 81 to lock it in this position. The latching member comprises a double arm lever of which one arm is solid and the,other bifurcated and formed with a slot 7 in each limb. The lever is pivoted to a base 3 The rod 8 has a neck engaged by a collar 9 carrying pins sliding in the slots 7. The collar, retained by a locknut 10, may be adjusted by interposition of washers. When the device is unfastened, it is made obvious from the outside by the projection of the rod 8 under the action of the spring.
