[Class 44] A device for preventing when desired access to the inside knob E of a door-lock comprises an incomplete box-like shield A permanently secured to the door, e.g. by flanges, inserted behind the lock casing, the open front and side of the shield being adapted to be closed by sliding an L-shaped member J into channels K on the front of the shield ; the side limb of the member J is provided with an aperture L to permit passage of the bolt I and is retained in its operative position. when the bolt is shot by engagement between the free edge and the fixed frame of the door. The shield may be reinforced by a tie member Q. The member J may be connected to the shield A by a chain or the like.
