[Class 8 (ii)] [Also in Group X] In a ventilating unit comprising a chamber containing a fan 6 driven by an electric motor 8 (see Group X) and a filter 10 surrounding the motor, an annular filter unit of the deeply pleated type is used, the pleats running from the inner to the outer periphery of the annulus. In the form shown, the removable filter comprises felt supported on metal gauze and is bent over at the edges 12 to make joint with supporting channels 13, 14.
