554,358. Filtering gases. CHEMA MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and SIGMUND, M. April 15, 1942, No. 5001. [Class 8 (ii)] An air-pump 2 adapted to be operated by man-power or power draws or forces air from an inlet 1 through two filters 13, 14 arranged in parallel when the pump is being operated by man-power, while for power valves are provided and set so that the air passes through one filter only. A preliminary dust extractor 10 is provided, and a by-pass to the fan through an extractor 7, for use in ventilation without filtering.
