Abstract
554,027. Filtering gases. JONES, T. D. Jan. 27, 1942, No. 1155. [Class 8 (ii)] Dust is removed from the air of coal mines by spraying the air by a water-atomizing jet 14 in the direction of air flow and then passing it through a filter comprising inner and outer baskets 15; 16 between which filtering material such as coke, coal, gravel, or Raschig or Lessing rings is contained. The air may pass through the baskets either outwardly or inwardly and two filters may be used in series, one of which may contain the other. Specifications 24492/06, [Class 8], 103,566, 202,861, [both in Class 8 (ii)], 512,945, 542,020 546,240 and 546,289 are referred to.
