Each filter unit comprises an inner strainer e, an annular cover p, and an outer strainer g, the whole being connected, after insertion of the packing f, by the central bolt o. The filter units are secured to the adjacent units by rotating them until lugs on the cover take under hooked lugs on the adjacent cover. The purified gases escape at n, while the separated liquids pass through the inclined bottoms of the perforated strainers and escape through the orifice in the bottom of the casing a.
