Abstract
448,961. Drying gases. HUNDT & WEBER GES., Geisweid, Kreis, Siegen, Germany. May 22, 1935, No. 14942. Convention date, July 21, 1934. [Class 34 (i)] [See also Groups I and XXVIII] In apparatus for separating liquid impurities from gases, and comprising a casing containing an annular filter around a perforated supply pipe a the filter consists of inner and out felt cylinders f, h, inner and outer perforated metal jackets l, i depending from a cover-plate m, and a filling of coke or other absorbent material between the felt cylinders. The filter is secured by a nut t engaging a bolt on the supply pipe, the filter being pressed by the nut upwards against a ring o which is adjustably clamped to the supply pipe. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the filter is surrounded by an annular plate which directs the filtered gas or liquid downwards before flowing upwards to the outlet pipe p. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
