[Class 7 (ii)] A cylinder head a, interchangeable for right- or left-hand mounting, has symmetrically arranged inlet and outlet passages a<1> and a2 and a lateral valve-tappet casing a<5>. Cooling ribs a<3> extend across the head, which has flat faces to provide for alternative attachment of a fan casing b having a passage therethrough for the attachment of an air cleaner c and a silencer d. The application is also described to opposed-cylinder engines rotating in either direction.
