719,558. Compressors. FLOTTMANN, F. H. Oct. 31, 1951 [Oct. 1, 1948], No. 25470/51. Class 8 (1). A compressor has a jacket 7 through which cooling air is circulated by a fan 8 and which has outlet apertures 9, 14 and a cooling chamber 10, open to the cooling air and disposed between a cylinder cover 3 and the cylinder head 4, is continued as a cooling passage 15 passing axially through the cylinder head and is traversed by small tubes 11 through which the compressed air is discharged from the cylinder. The cooling air is admitted to the cylinder, for compressing, through an inlet valve 5 which may alternatively be located on the side of the cylinder. A delivery valve 6 is provided.
