Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve volumetric efficiency of a reciprocating gas compressor by sucking external gas through a centrifugal fan to send it forcibly to the intake side of a cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: When a crankshaft 1 rotates, a piston 8 is reciprocated by the rotation of an eccentric shaft 3. Also, a centrifugal fan 4 at an end of the crankshaft 1 rotates at the same time so that the atmosphere is sucked through an admission window 14, filter 16 and fan side admission window 15, sent forcibly from a blast window 12 and sent through an admission path 17, admission port 24 to an admission chamber 25. Hence, air pressure in the admission chamber 25 becomes several 10% higher than that of the atmosphere to advance opening period of an intake valve 19 as the piston 8 descends while increasing inlet velocity of supplied air so that efficiency of air supply to the cylinder chamber and volumetric efficiency are improved to enable a compact high speed reciprocating gas compressor to be manufactured.
