707,303. Air compressors. BRISTOL PNEUMATIC TOOLS, Ltd., and WESCOMBE, H. C. May 2, 1952 [April 23, 1951], No. 9398/51. Class 8 (1). A reciprocating air compressor of the twostage differential piston type his the upper end of its cylinder 3 lubricated by conveying oil saturated breathing gases from the crankcase 5 through a vent pipe 6, and means are provided for admitting additional air into the crankcase during the outstroke of the piston. The air is admitted through a one-way valve carried by one of the doors of the crankcase and connected through a pipe 14 to the intake port of the compressor where the air has been filtered. Alternatively the valve may be provided with a separate air filter. An intercooler a and fan b are provided.
