Abstract

609,858. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. March 19, 1946, No. 8414. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1941. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (vi)] The small negative bias required for the operation of a valve designed to have high mutual conductance but a low working anode current is obtained by means of a high grid resistance which is returned to a source of positive potential. This manner of obtaining bias is shown to stabilise operation against variations in valve characteristics.
