609,326. Manually-actuated valves. TRIGGS, W. W. (Specialties Development Corporation). Jan. 9, 1946, No. 764. [Class 135] A valve device for a portable pressure-fluid container comprises a valve body 14 having a passage therethrough, a valve seat 21 in said passage, a valve member 22, a valve stem 25 for unseating the member, and a carrying handle 29 and a valve-operating handle 27 for actuating said stem movably mounted relatively to each other on the body, is characterized in that releasable latching means 40 are provided to hold the handle 27 in operative position. A projection 42 on the latch engages under the action of the spring 45 a shoulder on the carrying handle. In a modification, the projection engages a shoulder on a lug formed on the body between the two handles. Specification 566,257 is referred to.
