Abstract
601,276. Securing knobs on shafts. BRITISH OXYGEN CO., Ltd., GODFREY, R. C., and LIVESEY, A. C. Sept. 28, 1945, No. 25225. [Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A valve spindle 19, Fig. 3, having a pair of parallel flats at its outer end is operated by a knob 21 having an aperture corresponding in shape to the spindle end and retained on the spindle by an apertured disc 28 formed with one or more inwardly projecting tongues adapted to be engaged by rotation of the disc in a circumferential slot 27 in the spindle. The knob is pressed against the disc by a light spring 30.
