Abstract

452,201. Stuffing-box packing. MURRAY, W., and WESTON & CO., Ltd., C., 2, Portsmouth Street, Kingsway, London. April 23, 1936, No. 11568. [Class 122 (v)] An annular normally flat packing member 3 is mounted in a casing 1 having an inturned edge 2 whereby the shaft engaging part of the packing is caused to assume conical form. The conical part is pressed on to the shaft by a plate spring 5 preferably of corrugated form. The casing may be made in two or more parts.
