[Class 37] A surface contact rectifier is constructed of elements having temperature coefficients of resistance of opposite sign so that the total resistance of the rectifier as a whole remains substantially constant and independent of temperature. In an example, elements utilizing copper-oxide with a negative coefficient are combined with elements utilizing selenium which has a positive coefficient.
