June 7, 1927. a a castor of the type having a pintle 15 secured in a socket 10 by a spring splitring 21, the ring, which may be fitted to either element, is formed with an inclined face on the side which comes into contact with the coacting element so that on interengagement of the parts the ring is accurately centred by the cam action of the inclined face. The ring is of such a size as to allow of free rotation of the pintle when engaged.
