Abstract

759,078. Securing knobs on shafts. COLE, Ltd.. E. K., WHITE, J. K. and WILSON, F. C. April 1, 1955 [April 1, 1954], No. 9530/54. Class 80(2) [Also in Group XXV] The outer, 1, of two concentric moulded knobs 1, 8, for independent attachment to concentric tune-spindles of a radio-receiver, is formed with a recess 6 in which a flange 9 of the inner knob 8 is retained by a circlip 12 sprung over lugs 7 in the outer knob, between which lugs the flange 9 of the inner is shaped to pass. The knobs are retained on their spindles as a push fit by spring rings 13, 14, encircling slotted sleeves 4, 10 having internal flats engaging flats on the spindles. A spring clip 15 is placed on the rear end of the outer knob after it has been passed through the panel of the receiver, to prevent subsequent withdrawal.
