566,958. Valves. KIDSON, C. May 18, 1943, No. 7908. [Class 135] A screw-down valve disc 16 is located within a socket 12 in a cover 9 or in an extension 12a in the casing in all positions when the cover is assembled with the casing with flat faces 10, 11 bolted together. The diameter of the disc is only slightly less than that of the socket, and its thickness is greater than the distance from the mouth of the socket to the seat 7, so that the disc may not be moved transversely to free it from engagement with the spindle 13 when the cover is in position. Specification 7352/04, [Class 135], is referred to.
