Abstract
564,436. Valves. DEWRANCE & CO., Ltd., and SUFFIELD, W. G. April 21, 1943, No. 6398. [Class 135] A valve device comprising two manuallyactuated valves arranged in axial alignment to control a single passageway, one serving as a shut-off valve, the other as a regulating valve, has the axes of the two valves set at an angle of less than 90 degrees, e.g. 45 degrees, to the direction of flow. The shut-off valve comprises a valve member 3 co-operating with a removable seat 4 and secured to a screwed spindle 5 by a screwed ferrule 6' engaging a split ring 7 seating in a groove adjacent the end of the spindle. The regulating valve 18 is carried by a spindle 17 mounted in a plug 12 screwed into the main casing. The end of the spindle 17 has a squared part to receive an actuating key and is normally protected by a removable cover 13.
