[Class 38 (ii)] An inductance variable over a wide range comprises an extensible winding 1 whereby the spacing of the turns may be varied, and a magnetic core 13 movable with respect thereto. The core and winding may be arranged for simultaneous adjustment in the same or in opposite directions by rotation of a knob 9 operating through cord and pulley mechanism.
