[Class 56] [Also in Group XXXVI] The invention relates to sealing tungsten, molybdenum or like metal rods &c. to glass pinches in the manufacture of electric lamps and similar devices, other than thermionic valves. The following are given as examples of alkali-free boro-silicate glasses which may be used for pre-coating the rods &c. :
