747,930. Cathode-ray tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 30, 1954 [May 4, 1953], No. 12606/54. Class 39 (1). To reduce danger of cracking the seal between the substantially rectangular window 1 and the metal cone 2, the rim 3 of the flange which projects above the seal is provided with a locally reduced portion such as a groove 5, inside or outside or on both sides; or the rim may be made entirely of reduced thickness. The reduction may be carried out only along the long sides of the rectangle.
