[Also in Group XL (a)] In a cathode-ray tube comprising a dished or flanged glass window 2 sealed to a glass cone 1 which has an inner conductive coating 6, this coating connects to an external terminal 4 which is secured to a metal strip 3 of U-section embedded in the seal between window and cone. The strip may be of ferrochrome, with a press-stud shaped terminal 4 welded to it.
