596,898. Portable jib cranes; winding- apparatus. HALL, F. C. Aug. 3, 1945, No. 20038. [Classes 78(iv) and 78(v)] A mobile crane for use in agriculture comprises a wheeled frame structure 1 supporting a mast 3 on which a jib 4 is suspended by a chain 5 and a winch drum 9 which is driven from the power take-off shaft 25 of a tractor through pulleys 17, 18. The pulley 18 is mounted on a carriage 23 which may be moved vertically to engage or disengage the pulley with or from the pulley 17 by a hand lever 24 pivotally mounted upon the winch framestructure. A crook 10 on the jib embracing the mast 3 enables the jib to be swung in a horizontal frame.
