594,964. Pressure-regulating valves. FRIEDMAN, L. Nov. 2, 1945, No. 22463/44. [Class 135] The stem 5, Fig. 1, of the gas valve 6 of a governor of the kind in which the valve is regulated by a flat or bellows type diaphragm contacting the valve stem, has an extension which slides in a socket 10 closed by a stop screw 11 which prevents the collapse of, and damage to, the diaphragm. In a modification, the stem carries an adjustable stop in the form of a threaded collar 12, Fig. 2, and a lock-nut 13.
