[Class 54] One of the valves 3 is operated by a link 4 connected directly to the crank arm 1 while the other valve 5 is connected by a link 6 to one arm 7a of a bell-crank, the other arm 7b of which is connected by a further link 8 to the same crank arm, and preferably to the same crank pin. The connection of the link 8 to the arm 7b is radially adjustable.
