Abstract
591,415. Lamps combined with razors. KLAW, J. Jan. 16, 1946, No. 1751/45. [Classes 39 (ii) and 75 (iii)] [Also in Group XIV] A detachable lighting device for a razor (particularly a safety razor) comprises a holder for an electric lamp bulb, which may be fed from a dry battery or A.C. supply mains through a step-down transformer. As shown, the holder comprises a socket 2 housing a lamp bulb 4 in a screwed ferrule and joined to a stem 1 carrying a fixed or movable spring clip 8, the arms 9, 9 of which grip the razor by its handle 10. The lamp is connected to a battery 7, housed in a separate container, by a flexible conductor 5. Alternatively, the battery may be attached to the holder. A switch may be included at any point in the lamp circuit and may be constituted by the said spring-clip such as to close the circuit when the razor is applied to the holder. The holder may be of any suitable material, rigid or flexible.
