Abstract
590,353. Boiler furnaces. SATCHWELL, L., and WILSON, W. H. Jan. 31, 1945, No. 2484. [Class 51 (i)] In a hopper-fed boiler furnace of the type described in Specifications 548,194, 562,839 and 590,352, secondary air is supplied above the fuel face by a conduit passing through the fuel directing wall, said conduit being bent to deliver air towards the zone of maximum combustion and terminating in a distributing nozzle. The conduit 7 delivers air, taken from the primary air space 1, to the secondary combustion zone 3, through holes 8 in a fan-shaped nozzle.
