588,045. Fire - extinguishers. NUSWIFT ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and HENSHAW, T. A. Nov. 3, 1944, No. 21537. [Class 47 (ii)] Foam-forming solution is forced from an outer container a by gas from an inner container b through a dip tube f to a discharge hose g and a jet member h which is provided with a detachable sleeve i having holes i' for the entrainment of air. A piercer c is provided for the usual sealing disc of the container b. The sleeve i is removed when the apparatus is to be used with a liquid fire-extinguishing medium. Specifications 478,910 and 488,168 are referred to.
