In a fire-extinguisher in which liquid is forcibly ejected from a container under the pressure of carbon dioxide formed by the mixture of an acid and an alkali, the acid bottle 1 contains an inner glass tube 2 filled with a wetting agent. The tube 2 assists in breaking the bottle 1 and the wetting agent increases the efficiency of the extinguishing liquid. Specification 613,976 is referred to.
