Abstract

464,166. Fire - extinguishing. BUNN, F. L. March 23,1936, No. 8568. [Class 47 (ii)] A nozzle fitting for hose pipes for use in fighting rick &c. fires consists of an unperforated metal pipe A, which may be sectional, having at one end a hose coupling C and at the other end a steel piercing-point B which is removably attached, as by a screw thread. The inner end of the point is hollow and formed with spray orifices b, b<1> respectively perpendicular and inclined to the axis of the point. A sleeve E threaded on the tube A is provided for controlling the spray discharge. A jet D is fitted in the end of the pipe A for use when the point B is removed.
