[Class 35] A complete commutator type armature winding with lap turns is preformed before fitting in the core. In the form shown the individual tap turns are soldered together and the assembly is then wrapped round the core as shown, and the ends .5, 6n of the end turns 2, 3n respectively joined together and the previously bonded ends 5<1> 6, 5<11> 6<1> are soldered to the commutator segments or risers.
