[Class 35.] Cores and yokes.- The poles a of a Ferraris motor are connected by magnetic bridge-pieces b integral with them and are separate from the yoke d, which is formed as a ring fitting tightly round the poles. The poles and yoke may be laminated. The shading coils e, f, are arranged in slots g, which may be open towards the interior of the stator, as shown at h, or to the exterior, as shown at i. In the latter case the coil may be fitted in place after winding.
