587,119. Chairs and settees. SABNER, M. April 24, 1944, No. 7618. Convention date, Jan. 15, [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iv)] A chair or settee has two arm members 9, consisting of open frames covered by panels of plywood &c. rigidly connected by transverse bars on which rests an upholstered seat 13. A back 20, provided with an upholstered pad 22, consists of an open frame covered on one or both sides by plywood &c. and secured to the inside panels of the arms. The arms may be provided with pads 16 carrying T-shaped members detachably engaging T-shaped seats 18 in the arms. The back pad 22 may be similarly attached to the back 20. The seat, back pad, and arm pads may be arranged so that they must be removed in a definite order.
